Why did so many men stick with Trump in 2020? The COVID-19 pandemic may have given him a way to reach more masculine men. Many of those men actually liked Trump's "shrug it off" approach. Polio had a "low mortality rate" too I wonder if the last remaining survivor of it left their iron lung to a museum when they passed away, or if a private collector purchased it

Yes She didn't have it before, she has it after surviving a COVID-19 infection -- it's a chronic autoimmune disorder and COVID-19 causes the immune system to attack itself (a cytokine storm)

People have a massive misconception that people autoimmune disorders -- lupus, Guillain-Barré, multiple sclerosis -- are some identifiable subset of the population, that "it's genetic" This is false Nobody knows what causes chronic autoimmune conditions

There could be a specific "Guillain-Barré gene", there could not, but if there is one YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU HAVE IT And whether or not such a gene exists, you typically get it after a cytokine storm caused by an acute infection

Guillain-Barre is a *classic* example of "molecular mimicry". A large portion of cases are caused by food poisoning from Campylobacter bacteria, which has proteins on it that look a little too much like proteins on nerve cells and the immune system gets confused.

In parts of northern China a few decades ago they would have waves of rural kids in the summer coming down with "atypical polio" a couple of weeks after a Campylobacter outbreak.
