I know that anything that takes more effort and time is a greater burden on busy poor people than idle rich people but It's a minuscule difference compared to the difference between using a skillet at all and microwaving something

If you're, like, homeless and carrying your cookware with you from place to place on a regular basis then the greater weight of a cast iron pan might become an issue But a fairly minor one compared to how quickly that aluminum pan will snap off its handle under rough treatment

(I do think that this wave of emphasis on making things compact and lightweight that most people, even poor people in small apartments, don't have to pick up and move very much very often was kind of just a consumerism scam to sell more shit)
