I think he's clumsily saying you disagreeing with class first means you're a plant

What does "class first" even mean?

It's the theory that all other issues (e.g. racism) are class related and if we fix class issues, other issues will mostly be fixed, but it's disproven by the fact that rich black people are still routinely marginalized.

But that's obviously not what anyone is actually saying, you're just making a weird strawman

This was actually a very common thread in Bernie vs Warren. Warren had lots of very specific plans to reduce harm from racism, paid for with money from her universal plans, and then was demonized for her universal plans not going far enough

You can critique her by saying she just shouldn't have cared about balancing her budget, but people absolutely talked about how she should just focus on the big ideas and get rid of the "distractions" of anti-racism

No, see, there you go again actively mischaracterizing things that happened. The attacks on Warren's policies came from the perception that they were bad faith attempts to water down progressive goals and muddy the waters to stop Bernie, not that she cared too much about racism

But that kind of proves the point right? They said she didn't go far enough on universal policies, and dismissed the real advances she presented for anti-racism. The two efforts should be weighed evenly but Bernie was barely critiqued for his lack of anti-racism policies

What real advances did she present for anti-racism? I am familiar with exactly zero

As far as I'm aware, there is literally no specific policy you guys are advocating for that the "class first leftists" oppose. The extent of the substantive disagreement is the opposite, that you guys are opposed to the economic policies that the "class first leftists" propose

Reparations There was a whole specific and quite furious debate over this a while ago
