They're very foolishly afraid that somehow transwomen will take their stuff, mostly. They don't actually hate transpeople (much), but are just very afraid of losing "something" if transwomen get it too. It's very very stupid, but only a little evil.

Yeah, like, they hate us very very strongly at this point, and it’s getting worse. In some places a lot more that others.

Also, as someone who was openly queer in the mid 2000’s, it feels very weird now to think that at least the U.S. is relatively better than some other places.

I had a very close person to me get radicalized by gendercrits, it was incredibly bizarre to see the cognitive dissonance at work and the unbridled irrational rage that had been inculcated in her.

Like, one day they seem like someone who's been supportive of you and the next they're raging about hypothetical people with erections in changerooms and telling a literal teenage-hormone-blocker-user that it's a dangerous trend.
