In The Movie, about 80% of the way through, there are, like, three scenes in a row where I expected the story to end with "resolution just isn't for us" and I kinda wish it had.

(The last of those scenes was the one in a conference room with people we've never seen saying they don't know what's going on, it was on the nose, really)
