(You could say this about any drama set on a farm but what I remember about Anne With an E was it became very specific and detailed and strident about the economics of small-scale farming)

Not that it was necessarily better, but it's also not set in the present or anything.

I do think of insurance as being kind of...underrated? Just in terms of economic history, that kind of innovation to balance out risk did a lot to help.
