I do not, to be clear, come from Asian-American wealth My family always did have a certain proximity to wealth, though, that kind of defined my dad's experience in this country and my own shitty childhood

Honestly, besides the rich part, I just see the misogyny and patriarch cultural issues that make them so bad that is relatable in every Viet/Asian culture.

It's not the richness that annoys me because they lived the "American dream" to earn money but it's that their sons are boys, they get to just be entitled to it just by being born versus the daughter needs to earn it.
