There's a valid critique that stuff in the current season relies too much on clone wars & rebels cartoons which can leave more casual viewers confused AND feels too much like a launching pad for spin-offs but I don't care bc it panders to me perfectly.

I get easily bored by end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it-stakes which tend to culminate in battle-of-the-five-armies snoozefests, while the chosen one does something crucial with a mcguffin, so this alternative is extremly my thing.
