It is kind of funny that Alexander the Great is hailed as this ultimate military and political leader when it is very well documented he drank himself stupid at every opportunity

At the very beginning of Plutarch's biography it talks about how he rarely trained with the troops because the troops started their exercises at dawn and Alexander rarely if ever was up before 2 pm

Plutarch also talks about how Alexander rarely bathed but that didn't matter because his sweat had a naturally sweet smell like incense that both men and women found intoxicating and led some to theorize he had divine ancestry
