To add insult to injury, the so-called "Catherine wheel" didn't exist in Catherine's (and Hypatia's) time period, it was invented hundreds of years later, by Christians

There was a viral thing like ten years ago where a bunch of people freaked out at learning that St. Catherine is fictitious, and that the Church has acknowledged this and quietly taken her off the official list since the 1960s
