Even in a normal CEO/President job, if you just stop coming to work every day because you're busy tweeting and watching TV or whatever, the board (Congress) is supposed to fire (impeach) you for not doing the job you were hired to do

I had a boss reprimand me frequently for not being at meetings that _ended fifteen minutes before my shift started_

I had a boss that made one of yearly targets attending meetings they had scheduled on my day off. In their defence they did change it after I pointed it out
