As an aside (I didn't open my responses with this, as it could interpreted as an ad hominem attack): the complete certainty of your replies comes across as fragile vanity. Perhaps you should read a bit of Kahneman & Tversky. Start here, if I may suggest:https://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/23/magazine/dont-blink-the-hazards-of-confidence.html …

There are many topics on which I would be happy to admit uncertainty and humility but the utter worthlessness of Jordan Peterson's cult of personality is not one of them

His literal claim to fame that allowed him to ascend into fame was him ranting through his ass about the bill c-16.

I just know him as the guy who promotes the idea that self improvement begins with the smallest of changes.

This is a meaningless, pointless thing to say that has been said hundreds of thousands of times before he said it

Start with the small improvement of respecting people’s wishes and using their pronouns, that was what he meant, right?

His point was not that we should disrespect people, rather we should have the freedom to choose to disrespect people. Having the government force you to speak certain ways is a dangerous path.

His inability to distinguish between the civil law concept of protections from workplace harassment and the idea of being "jailed for speech" under criminal law is one of the many ways in which he is an ignoramus, yes

We’re not discussing workplace harassment, we’re literally discussing being jailed for speech which is happening in the EU, UK, and recently Canada. This is what he’s speaking out against.

It is not, and the fact that you think it is, probably partly due to being in Peterson's orbit, is an example of how his ignorance is making people ignorant and is evil

Hi Sean. Hi Arthur. It sounds like there is a disagreement on whether the incidents about people getting jailed for speech are actually happening. One way we might continue this discussion is for Sean to list two or three incidents, and Arthur can say why he doesn’t believe them.

I would be interested to know how well Arthur has studied these incidents.
