I do, in fact, think that to a large degree masks have in the long run enabled "lockdown fatigue" and this is a very bad sign Instagram stories showing 30 people hanging out at a house party thinking it's okay because they're all wearing masks make me very angry

There is, famously, no such thing as a RCT proving parachutes work to decrease fatalities from jumping out of an airplane, due to the ethical difficulty of randomly assigning subjects to the control group Does that mean parachutes are BS? Would you be happy to jump without one?
