I have found that Sugar Bee apples are a significant improvement over Honeycrisps but cost twice as much as Honeycrisps because as a novel variant of Honeycrisps they are still under propagation rights and a cut goes to the original breeder Yes, IP law affects apples

as an upstate new yorker i can say that all orchard-picked apples are ambrosia delivered from the gods of which all supermarket apples are a pale imitation

I kind of feel like your dislike of musical theatre is mostly dislike of stereotypical Old Broadway shit I think you'd be into Heathers the Musical etc

oh yeah, probably my disdain for theatre in general comes from the degree to which it's perpetually a live-action Turner Classic Movies because of most big directors' lack of appetite for trying out subversive new material in favor of the supposedly "timeless"

I watched a bootleg of that a while ago, I liked it a lot aesthetically but conversely the musical genre itself was less my bag

Pasek and Paul's wheelhouse is writing songs that function as Broadway songs but feel like a '90s and '00s pop jukebox musical
