Shellfish seem to have become more acceptable as they got more expensive and exotic But it's an aversion that plenty of people still have -- I've heard people remark that keeping kosher just makes them logically consistent compared to average Americans

Oh yeah my youngest brother doesn't really like shellfish for the same reason I've adjusted my way of thinking about insects.
