There's people in the comments raising objections about how blurring the boundary between wildlife and pets as this guy is doing is dangerous to both animals and humans and destructive to the environment etc All I can say is for raccoons that ship has sailedhttps://twitter.com/Nymphomachy/status/1326422520623476738 …

That's the whole thing, every time they make some advance in the arms race against raccoon plunder like the supposedly raccoon proof latches they put on trash cans people's "raccoon problems" go UP By a LOT

Raccoons are all cuddly and chonky like this when they're well fed and when they're not they get desperate and mean and a lot less likable But they do get fed either way They're pretty good at not getting driven to extinction, we've tried

Those raccoons look pretty unhappy and oppressed I can see why there would be concern for their well being. Raccoons, coyotes and crows meanwhile have had to learn to thrive in an increasingly industrialized world and I for one am glad when they can find easy food.

Also coyotes are the best animal ever and I lament not being able to give them skitches and pats. Such is life.

Well this is a terrifying thought but a human vs raccoon species war would be very on brand for the decade
