As an atheist you don't know how frustrating it is for me that the most likely candidate for a US President who meets the dictionary definition of "atheist" is Donald Trumphttps://twitter.com/FightOnTwist/status/1325651722300088322?s=19 …

I mean good Lord In the New Testament it goes on about how corrupt and decadent Herod Antipas was and how John the Baptist prophesied that his open, shameless adultery would bring God's judgment on him and the destruction of his kingdom

The Christians don't seem to have much motivation to draw historical parallels anymore, the way they used to when Bill Clinton was President It's weird

I don't seethe. To me it's just more evidence that the "Christian" right in America isn't really Christian at all. If you actually read the book, Jesus cares about feeding the poor, healing the sick and loving his fellow man (especially strangers) No mention of guns at all.

This idea that they aren't really Christian isn't helpful, and in fact does additional harm to the people these Christians abuse. Such a message implies that Christianity is only and always good, by defining away any bad done, thereby absolving Christians of any accountability.

It's maddening. I was taught divorce only if physical abuse, not even cheating unless the cheating spouse wouldn't repent. Porn was a huge evil ruining lives, & you were supposed to give as much money & time (to the church) as possible. Trump loves money, divorce, and porn stars.pic.twitter.com/ArYQOPj3W8

I found that stunning, too. I really believed they had actual principles before the orange clown came.

What gave you that idea?
