Exactly. Enforce a lockdown of those workers if needed (with appropriate relief). Why it needs to extend beyond that makes no sense. "Somehow enforce". We can't be sure we can entice and enforce a lockdown of this smaller pop. But we're sure we can with the entire pop.? Come on

Comprehensive test-and-trace and quarantining only people who are actually infected would be much, much cheaper than quarantining the entire "vulnerable population" But is still apparently way too expensive to even consider

Turning a *virus* that spreads indiscriminately through a population into a matter of personal responsibility is not a good take. Especially when we don't actually know the long term effects, or which people are likely to get them while others don't.

This reminds me of the assholes who told me if I was afraid of COVID spreading rapidly at my workplace (schools) and killing me and my elderly mother (who lives with me due to being disabled), I should just quit my job. As if I don't need money for food, rent, etc.

And *I'm* scares for myself in addition to my mom because every time an illness goes through, I catch it and get it worse and for longer than others. But I have bills, so work it is.
