Yeah I think biden should probably do this, it beats running him again at over 80 or giving Republicans the gift of an unnecessary dem primary.
This kind of process just doesn't happen in the US, not for the presidency, and for all that Brits talk a big game about being more progressive it actually seems very doubtful someone like Theresa May could've made it through the equivalent of a US primary

I have long wondered why Sweden, ostensibly the most feminist Nordic country, is the only one that's never had a female PM. One possible reason is the stability of their political system; PM candidates have to be a known quantity and I guess this exposes them to latent misogyny.
