If I recall correctly being impeached without being removed even instantly makes the crimes charged under the articles non-pardonable. Am I miss remembering?

An impeachment conviction can prohibit the person from holding federal office in the future, and that can’t be pardoned.

Not that I think it’s likely he will be in any position to run in 2024, but it would be nice to slam the door on that possibility.
