All this shit about caping for Stan Frownfelter and this just being a stalking-horse for people seeking power for neoliberal Democrats Well, Frownfelter is out and his career is probably over And I'd still rather have an empty seat representing KS HD 37 than this choad

And, seriously, where’s the “power” in being a Democratic legislator in Kansas? It was 84-41 Republican going into this election, and it didn’t get better.

What one does or fails to do as a minor does not define one as a Berniecrat.

The entire point of a political party is the vetting you are supposed to provide. Your endorsement is your statement that you have vetted a person and they earned it. This is who you vet and back? This is what you stand behind? And here you are, doubling down on a mistake...

Why was it a mistake? Frownfelter has been adamantly anti-choice and reactionary on a whole bunch of other issues; Coleman is not. Most Kansas voters in his District agreed with me, not you.

KS HD 37 has a total population of 20k Even you assume fully half of those people are ineligible to vote that still means only 30% of voters actually voted for Coleman, most didn't care, as is usually the case with state-level races

What's telling is Coleman's vote total in the general election of ~3k is about the same amount that Frownfelter got when *he* ran unopposed in 2018 I.e. it's a strong chance it's just the same people who go ahead and check the box for the unopposed candidate anyway

There was no sudden surge of turnout for Coleman like there would be if this "Finally the people of Wyandotte County have a real progressive to support!" narrative were real
