Honestly, if the impression I gave after 2016 was that I'm on the same side as people whose politics consists of celebrity hero worship like the "Notorious RBG" shit then it's high time I drove those followers away

I agree with you for sure. I just get frustrated with retrospective that does nothing. yes. She should have retired. 100%. But she didn't and we're all paying for it, and it will stain her legacy. But this kind of meta-analysis doesn't help much at this point.

If anything, I think my issue with the argument here is that it's OVERLY rational and pragmatic. I'm much more capable of being persuaded that, despite all their political power, Supreme Court seats are still a job, each held by an individual with their own life.

Ginsburg's non-retirement is far more justifiable in terms of sentiment, emotion, and personal dignity, than in any kind of pragmatic calculation. Does that make it good or right? I'd still say no. But it's why I hestitate.
