People are already tsking that Bernie would've done better because he was a more credible supporter of $15/hr minimum wage, as though Trump is credible about anything at all whatsoeverhttps://twitter.com/jgt1960/status/1323940563335393281 …

I think the argument is that the people who wanted the pay increase would've prefer Sanders over Biden or Trump. But as you said, that would imply that voters link things together. I can see trump voters independently voting for a higher min wage, because they don't link the two

That would imply lots and lots of ballots for the wage increase that left the top line for the presidential wage blank I very much doubt this is the case

What I mean is that of you offer a minimum wage directly on a plate, many will vote for it, but if you offer a candidate that promises the minimum wage, they may still choose the other guy. Especially if they still can get the minimum wage passed on the side. But I may be wrong.

I mean, there’s a solid argument Americans would vote for much more liberal and progressive policies in a direct democracy than when picking their political Daddy Dom/me

California is our overall experiment with what direct democracy as the main way to make policy would look like in practice and last night wasn't particularly encouraging in that regard
