The original proponents of Section 28, including your beloved Baroness, didn't literally say all gay men were predators either - nobody actually says that in public, not even the worst homophobes It's always acting out of "an abundance of caution"

You’ve changed your claim to say I “implied” but your original tweet claimed I was “on the record” as saying gay teachers were a danger. I didn’t say that. I said a tiny minority of teachers both straight and gay are predatory of which the vast majority are straight. Why lie?

Whatever you think the relative size of the danger is, you think it's sufficient to oppose the existence of Gay-Straight Alliance orgs in schools, which is the actual point

If you bothered to read the thread or other comments I’ve made you’d know that my concern is about a failure to observe child safeguarding rules in relation to some groups. These rules exist to protect kids from predatory men whatever their sexuality.

Right, you're bothered by basic shit like schools having safe spaces where stuff they say about their gender and sexuality isn't reported to parents

We’re a long way from your original inaccurate claim that I was on the record as saying gay teachers were somehow dangerous. Imagine how much more useful it would be if LGBTQ activists acknowledged as their starting point the need to make all school groups as safe as possible.

That's because he makes all his arguments on the words and thoughts he puts in people's mouths and imagines are in their heads; literally every tweet is like this. He's actually talking to himself. Question is, why?

He IS saying gay teachers are dangerous, he's just making the "Not ALL of them, just some bad apples" argument EVERYONE WHO MAKES THIS ARGUMENT USES

Well, I haven't seen that demonstrated & am happy to stand corrected if the case. You, on the other hand, I *have* seen put words in people's mouths & make assumptions about what they think across the board. Oh & your rhetoric is frequently abusive. 'You seem nice' as they say.

I have absolutely no intention of being nice or of being a dumb rube who wastes time with people's politician weasel words He wants GSAs banned because he thinks anything kids say about gender and sexuality should be reported to parents to protect them from predators

This is a fact, and I don't care about you carping about how my framing of this fact is unfair ("I'm sure he thinks the majority of the teachers running GSAs are very fine people!")
