Whatever you think the relative size of the danger is, you think it's sufficient to oppose the existence of Gay-Straight Alliance orgs in schools, which is the actual point

If you bothered to read the thread or other comments I’ve made you’d know that my concern is about a failure to observe child safeguarding rules in relation to some groups. These rules exist to protect kids from predatory men whatever their sexuality.

Right, you're bothered by basic shit like schools having safe spaces where stuff they say about their gender and sexuality isn't reported to parents

Most teachers don’t consider child safeguarding policies “basic shit”. Confidentiality can be important but parents also have a right to know what issues are discussed by their child with older kids or adults in groups organised around sexuality.

And when police, or child protection, interviews the child, then should they report everything the child told them back to the parents? Isn't that the literal meaning of "no secrets, no lies"?

It's really infuriating how dismissive these people are about the idea of abusive parents, like they're pissed off at even having to deal with the topic at all Even though just by the numbers abusive parents are MUCH more of a problem than abusive teachers
