I'm pretty sure if you showed them the text of Section 28, or paraphrased it in nice-sounding enough terms, and just didn't actually call it "Section 28" they'd all be on board with supporting it

Most teachers don’t consider child safeguarding policies “basic shit”. Confidentiality can be important but parents also have a right to know what issues are discussed by their child with older kids or adults in groups organised around sexuality.

no they don't, because potentially homophobic or otherwise abusive parents are the ones it's important to have confidentiality *from* you cannot hold both beliefs at once

We’re a long way from your original inaccurate claim that I was on the record as saying gay teachers were somehow dangerous. Imagine how much more useful it would be if LGBTQ activists acknowledged as their starting point the need to make all school groups as safe as possible.
