The most frustrating thing is they TEASED us by having Ching Shih in Pirates of the Caribbean appear as one of the "Brethren Court" but then she doesn't actually do anything It's just to set up Chow Yun-Fat's character, who's supposed to be her son

The most successful pirate ever! My absolute favourite part of it all is that she ended up retiring (only pirate to do that, too) after the Qing called it a draw to run a brothel employing a bunch of the sex workers who'd serviced her sailors, and kept most of her wealth :D
