What accident of birth is that? You do realise that she didn’t inherit the title but earned it through her political work?

Where she's from is far less important than what she's done, unless you're some kind of bigot...

You do know a load of Labour MPs have been created life peers - many previously trade unionists. Not to mention a number of people who have served charities etc. Even bloody Ruth Hunt has been "elevated to the peerage". Do shut up.

Why are you guys pivoting to arguing life peers in general aren't privileged bluebloods when this conversation is about Emma Nicholson, who is unambiguously and overwhelmingly a privileged blueblood

"Some life peers are trade union organizers who came up as elected MPs for the Labour Party" Okay, good for them Nicholson, a Tory, is a lifelong political opponent of such people

I for one thank Baroness Nicholson for all her important work demonstrating why we should abolish noble titles and the House of Lords.
