I continue to be amazed by people who think that it's possible to have a "pure" and "innocent" childhood that then *instantly* transitions into adulthood where you just "figure out" everything you need to know when you turn 18 all at oncehttps://twitter.com/AnaMardoll/status/1318905734101426184 …

That's why I feel like their real issue is control. Teaching consent gives kids the idea that they have the right to control their own lives and that their comfort matters and should be considered.

Transition, in and of itself, has nothing to do with sex and sexuality and compromising "innocence" in that sense but DEAR GOD they treat the idea of children socially transitioning as though you were teaching them how to have an orgy

They watch a young trans girl growing out her hair, wearing skirts, etc. as functionally equivalent to "sexualizing" a child Hell, they treat it *worse* In their worldview "cross-dressing" is an inherently sexual act, a "fetish", and titillating even if the kid doesn't know it

And it's because to them both sex stuff and gender stuff is ultimately about control, it's about putting this box around your kid's identity and the way you see them and freaking out if they stop over the boundaries of that box

I could try to do a deep-dive analysis of it but I don't want to, it makes me feel filthy to be around TERFs and to be constantly exposed to the abusive and nasty ways they talk and think
