Why enter British politics if you believe that? Baroness Nicholson is a former director of Save the Children, a former EU parliament's human rights committee member, she chairs an APPG againt human trafficking and she has done much more for charity. Nothing in common, eh?

Tony Blair assured the UN he'd been back and forth to Iraq several times and had trustworthy sources building up a dossier of evidence that Saddam had WMDs?https://www.politico.eu/article/mep-hands-blix-dossier-on-sites-linked-to-weapons-development/ …

Tony Blair made the final decision to join the invasion, yes, obviously Nicholson was the biggest cheerleader for "humanitarian intervention" in Iraq for a full ten years before that happened

it's fair to say there was more than one 'dodgy dossier'. The one issued by Alastair Campbell was plagiarised from work by a student. Nicholson certainly did claim to the UN that there WMD....But it was the campbell dossier that's widely blamed for Blair's ultimate decision.

Campbell's dossier was a bigger immediate cause but Nicholson was the one who'd spent the past decade repeatedly testifying about Saddam's human rights abuses and consistently calling for intervention
