because news flash - in bed with your partner who’s asking you for anal sex should not be the first time a young person is figuring out how comfortable they are with that, or trying to learn on the fly how to do it safely that’s really unsafe mentally and physically

Rather depends on the circumstances, but it may be. Say if they're teaching with sex dice, and pushing the idea of "enthusiastic consent" or giving kids books that suggest a six year old can enjoy giving head.

Pushing the idea of enthusiastic consent? So let me get this straight... you think people should have sex when one or more parties doesn't consent? What is WRONG with you?

Are you stupid or pretending to be stupid? Children can't provide consent, no matter how enthusiastic they are about it.

what planet are you on? teens can't provide consent to sexual relationships WITH ADULTS, but they can consent to a sexual relationship with someone their own age. and we should absolutely be teaching teens that unless their partner is enthusiastic, they shouldn't be touching them

The age of consent in the UK is 16. Children younger than that cannot legally consent to sex even with children their own age. That doesn’t necessarily mean both children will be punished, only that they *cannot* legally consent. Nobody who isn’t a nonce has a problem with that.

I think people should in general have a problem with laws that would obviously be perverse if actually enforced but where we just muddle on through with "prosecutorial discretion" I mean it obviously makes selective enforcement incredibly easy

"Two 15-year-olds fucking, and they seem happy and fine, but *legally* they're both guilty of a heinous crime, and uh oh one of them just made the Crown Prosecutor really mad over something unrelated"

In the US all laws like this are enforced on racial grounds Like how jaywalking is technically illegal but white people think of it as a dead letter because they've never heard of anyone getting a ticket for it, because they're not Black or Latinx
