Lowering it to 3 months, *not* prohibiting it, I notice.

Why are you trying to defend every single shitty thing she does "Oh, she didn't propose a wholesale abortion ban because she couldn't defend that position in debate" "Oh, she didn't unilaterally commit UK troops to the invasion because she didn't have the authority"

So the fuck what How does that make it not fucked up that she took the position on these things that she did

Because people are entitled to have different views to you - radical, I know. Even though I didn't support the Iraq War (without a UN resolution), many people did because of Hussein's abuse of human rights. They're entitled to that view just as I am to mine.

As much as I am pro-choice, many people are unsettled by abortion or by late abortions. They are entitled to that view. I will resist anyone who tries to make abortions illegal, but I wouldn't try to silence their view.

Halving the length of time in which someone can have an abortion is making abortion illegal It is not making *all* abortions illegal, but it's making *many* abortions illegal, for no good fucking reason

Three months is a good way along for an elective abortion. Elective being choice, rather than medical necessity. For some people, that far along troubles them. It isn't for you to say someone mustn't have that view. It's for you to oppose that view with valid reasons.

"Opposing that view" means saying that it's wrong for them to have that view, and that I'm judging them for holding it What the fuck else could it mean

I seriously think the idea of a life peerage is brain-rotting for Brits Like that it's just a *fact of the universe* that other people have care what Emma thinks about shit until the day she dies, that we're not allowed to say "Who gives a fuck what she thinks" and vote her out

Hell, I wasn't even trying to focus attention on that bill -- it's a shitty bill, but it died in the House of Lords and it's far from the worst thing Emma's ever done I'm just pointing out that it's evidence that it's absurd to call Emma a "pioneer of women's rights"
