Lowering it to 3 months, *not* prohibiting it, I notice.

Why are you trying to defend every single shitty thing she does "Oh, she didn't propose a wholesale abortion ban because she couldn't defend that position in debate" "Oh, she didn't unilaterally commit UK troops to the invasion because she didn't have the authority"

So the fuck what How does that make it not fucked up that she took the position on these things that she did

Because people are entitled to have different views to you - radical, I know. Even though I didn't support the Iraq War (without a UN resolution), many people did because of Hussein's abuse of human rights. They're entitled to that view just as I am to mine.

People are "entitled" to have views that are fucked up and I am entitled to say that they are fucked up God damn this kind of rhetoric is the last refuge of scoundrels

"Whatever else you can say about my opinion, I am legally allowed to hold it and you mustn't put me in prison for expressing it" Yeah so you don't have any argument that your opinion is good or right

You believe my pro-choice position is bad and wrong? My opinion that the Iraq War without a UN resolution was wrong is bad and wrong? It seems to me that you're lashing out without reading what I wrote. No surprise there then.

I believe that the idea of someone being "entitled to their opinion" is fundamentally incoherent

It's a fundamental human right. You shouldn't lose sight of that. It's enshrined in law here as Article 10 - the freedom of expression. Political opinions, all of it. Totalitarianism isn't a good look on you.

Yes, she has the right not to be thrown in prison for her opinion I don't have to shake her hand and offer her tea and biscuits because it's so wonderful and praiseworthy that she has one

Now you DID say she should be tried at the Hague for her words, but it's a difference in scale and consequence. She's entitled to her opinion, but she's not entitled to get lots and lots of people killed
