What is the difference between teaching girls about P-in-V sex and anal sex? Both are sexual acts that people do for enjoyment far more often than for other reasons.

It's actually important to teach about these things so they have the knowledge to do it safely when the time comes. No point teaching them about it after the fact. Atleast this way we're teaching them how to do it all safely before any of them pick up harmful practices from porn

WTF?! I don't want my 13-yearold daughter to have anal sex *safely*, I don't want her to do it at all. She is 13. It's *illegal* for this age group. By your measure, why not teach all 13-year-olds how to inject heroin safely, just in case they fancy doing it one day.

I remember when my Catholic dad lost his shit about the idea of schools handing out condoms Very similar energy to what you're displaying right now "It's like saying if kids will commit suicide with knives then we might as well give them a gun to do it reliably and painlessly"

The idea that if I were "inappropriately and prematurely sexualized" this would constitute something similar to death -- going to hell, I suppose, or just being irrevocably corrupted and damaged Really great stuff to grow up with, I highly recommend it

I am not your Catholic dad. Your issues with him don't relate to what I am saying. As an adult man, you appear to have absolutely no idea of the huge pressures teenage girls are under to be sexualised.

And you think that eliminating any discussion of actual sex from sex ed is a way to relieve this pressure? Lol I grew up in a *fortress* of the kind of "safeguarding" you advocate -- nothing but dire warnings about pregnancy and STIs -- and it didn't work out that way

Hello strawman! I am strongly in favour of them learning about "actual sex". But there are an unlimited number of sexual practices. Clearly we are not going to teach children about the vast majority. The question is what is age-appropriate. You can't understand girls' views.

Random middle class suburban cishet lady says anal sex not "actual sex", but part of bizarre infinite universe of possible different sex acts no one would ever think to do on their own Seeks to build whole sex ed curriculum on this understanding of the world More at 11

Any sex ed tool that includes the anus and “objects” but excludes the clitoris is centred on male gratification.

The fuck do you even know about it You read an article in The Sun and you know everything this exercise consists of? Like your oh-so-accurate reporting about Mermaids' "jelly baby" trainings?
