I obviously think rich people have the right to opinions, and often those opinions are even correct What JK Rowling doesn't have the right to do is shut down criticism of her opinions because she's marginalized and vulnerable, because she isn't

Her opinions aren't wrong because she's rich, they're wrong on their own merits She and her defenders are the ones trying to say you can't tell her she's wrong or else you're a misogynist attacking "women" as a class

She's not wrong. I'm a Woman. Experienced misogyny for over sixty years. Most of the attacks are misogynist. I know what Men are. And aren't. I have known heaps of alternative Humans. Trans people over the years. I was as pleasant as required. They weren't. Funny that.

Transexuals. Transvestites. Hippies. Freaks. Mutants. Yippies. Punks. Edge dwellers. Homosexuals. Bisexuals. Nobody gave a fuck about being 'misgendered'. It was before the corporate Agenda with the RULES.

Takes a lot of self confidence to go around judging your own pleasantness

I will tell you Arty. If you had come around with your brainiac social quirks and wanted to join whatever bunch of weirdos, intellectuals, rebels and artists I was hanging with, we'd have let you in. Just sayin'. People with corporate backing though....no. Not so much.

There are very few individual human beings on the planet with as much "corporate backing" as JK Rowling

A "smart guy like me" knows that First Things is a hardcore Catholic reactionary website

So Team Rowling at this point is aligned with the sorts of Catholic organizations that think "Is the Pope Catholic?" is an open question?
