I didn't read the quoted tweet and was like --oh I know this one! Put water in it and on stove. Heat will melt it right down. I suppose that's just a fever but much much higher then possible for a fever.

The gold standard for disinfection is boiling water or steam in an autoclave, it's always been true and probably always will be, it's just that just as almost no germs can survive that a lot of stuff you want to disinfect also won't Like your hands
