How does stealing stuff during the Purge actually work They can't stop you during the act but does that help you for grand as opposed to petty larceny What if you steal a car that night, then the owner comes back for it the next day "It's mine now, I stole it fair and square"https://twitter.com/brockwilbur/status/1316923603359772674 …

If the Purge falls on a Sunday, can you sell liquor at drug stores?

It seems that the simplest explanation is you end up having to give it back, but they can't press charges. Which is... meh?

I don't think you give it back because if you steal money you get to keep it.

The First Purge kinda addressed this? Everyone had super science recording contact lens so you can see what they were doing, and the one guy who tried to rob an ATM got killed pretty quickly.

Also, the Purge Election Year introduced the idea of Purge Insurance, so I guess any loses you take during Purge Night are compensated.

There's surveillance of everyone and everything so they'd easily have footage of it being stolen.

That's the most unrealistic part of it all for me. They paint it as a murder spree, but you know if you can just go get a new 4K TV from the shops and not pay for it that's 100% what everybody would be doing. It should be a movie about Best Buy tower defense.
