There's a version of this where a guy is hitting on you & pretending to find you interesting, & asking lots of questions about your passions, & you happily talk until eventually you realize he's feigning interest & just wants to hit on you, & now your brain is tired & depressed.

I hate that. Don't force me to put in a tonne of wasted mental effort. Also, it's *so* disappointing to realise the guy just wants to sleep with you. It's insulting when someone pretends to find you interesting! Why can't he just say, "You're cute"? Why the insulting pretense?
