It is predictable but still pretty ironic the the weirdos who have some kind of pathological attachment to a fictional character and give the character this godlike importance in their lives always end up completely ignoring what the character is actually like

My take - Alan Rickman created that character out of a flat piece of cardboard, and then she pretended she had written him that way all along. What anyone loves about Snape is just Rickman being way too good for that part from the jump.

I thought of Snape as like Randall from Recess but with black hair and an adult. Alan Rickman elevated that character into a master class.
