HORROR WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER: lots of repressed queerness, lots of dead teenagers, overall pretty depressing, but also, horrifying, as the name suggests HORROR NOW: what if there was a ghost, but really, the ghost was caused… by CAPITALISM

You might like The Lighthouse which is apparently a horror movie that's like "fuck praxis, piss and shit jokes."

Being praxis is how they get traction in our twitter sphere but like, Us has a guy getting hacked up by a boat propeller, a child getting impaled on a tree AND a kid walking into a fire

I didn’t take Us as a metaphor about anything, really. I think it had some *themes* about race and economics and stuff, but I think it was a scary movie about scary underground people and ZOMG JANE WAS THE SCARY UNDERGROUND PERSON

Yeah Jordan Peele directly told people that Get Out was his movie "about race" and Us was doing a movie that was NOT about race
