The person complaining about "unnecessary sex scenes" is a teen? It's normal to be weirded out or terrified by sex and need movies to be unthreatening on that front. There's a reason teens in the '90s mandated that Leonardo DiCaprio be 80 pounds with the face of a baby cherub.

Adults have weird pop culture ideas of teens (less agéd versions of us who are totally having all the sex we'd be having if we were still hot and single) which don't line up with anyone's memory of being a teen (sex is scary, bodies are scary, will I die alone??? I HATE MYSELF).

I always thought that was what people meant when they said things like "Youth is wasted on the young" (which is an aphorism that sounds to me like it should convey more pity and sympathy for the young than it often seems to)
