You'd probably enjoy* how Hunter: the Reckoning leaned into what was most "problematic" and "controversial" about it and said the most powerful network of Hunters were Muslims from the Middle East *not enjoy
Different metaphors mean different things to different people at different times Like, Beast was their game really leaning into "Vampires aren't evil if you see the world from their POV" and everyone turned on that game really hard because it was triggering

There are a lot of people who find the "vampire" metaphor fruitful for real abusive situations in real life, it's not always about just judging people for being different
-
Be that as it may, the specific infectious model of the Vampire as corrupted foul sex entity, from as early as Stoker, is RIDDLED with horrors of purity culture, misogyny, queerphobia & antisemitism

Beast was a disgusting mess on every level but it sure as hell wasn't moving in the same cultural heritage spaces. Beast was just a bunch of gross vanilla abusers - honestly if anything often seemingly synonymous with authority & old money - who just happened to be Queer.
-
I'm reminded of characters like the loving old money couple who deliberately entrap people into taking one of their hoarded wealth items and the other who swoops in to punish the entrapped victim.

I will never understand the belief (insistence? Requirement? It seems to show up across the board independent of system or context) that player characters have to be not-evil
-
Game-Evil characters are generally not particularly interesting for most people, and are generally both disruptive and repugnant to have in your party.
