Fuck the story about the gay kid who got kicked out at the age of fucking twelve and then somehow became a star athlete and his dad felt bad and said sorry and bought his fucking book Like that somehow fixes anything for the kids who just fucking died

Honestly if they bothered to give him enough time to really let his characterization breathe, that's who Credence Barebone would be That's exactly what his rage at the end of FB1 should be about But they didn't really, he just kind of flips his loyalties around randomly
-
Graves/Grindelwald just being the last person in a long chain of people to throw Credence away "Well then you're useless to me" And the black smoke just starts gushing out It's a deep, deep thing she tapped into -- that, once again, she didn't stick the landing with

Wizard Killmonger is so, so obviously a slam dunk concept for a contrasting sequel villain and, like a Vampirized Slayer in BtVS, it's incomprehensibly hackish that nobody involved ever attempted to pull the trigger on this
-
It's really obvious of making him Dumbledore's secret brother -- or cousin or whatever -- and therefore foil is them kind of gesturing at this concept but I don't have high hopes a JKR script will actually get at the moral core of the conflict here

I had a vague idea for a political intrigue fic where the UK government got hold of some anti-magic tech created by a squib science team who used stuff like cold iron implants to block magic.
-
It starts with the Goblins The Goblins canonically have antimagic metal They only use it for medieval weapons like the Sword of Godric Gryffindor because it's really hard for them to learn Muggle tech because of the Statute of Secrecy
