Tbh I almost might like Fantastic Beasts better if they fully committed to it, like if it were an R-rated franchise instead of PG-13 Just full-on blood, gore, swearing, wizard sex, lay it on us I'm contemptuous of it partly because I know she'd never ever do that

Fantastic Beasts 2 *invokes* the Holocaust, it *shows images related to the Holocaust*, but it isn't actually *about* the Holocaust, it never specifically names the thing it's talking about when talking about no-maj atrocities and hatred etc. And that's fucking shitty

I liked the parts that were just magical creatures and baked goods with 1920s costumes, then they had to add all the convoluted politics stuff, never bothered with the second one because it seemed to play into the second more than the first
