I think it's honestly kind of weird that people are mad at me over the obvious fact that I have allowed my anger at JK Rowling's real-life politics to color my impression of her work It's inevitable that that happens, and certainly far preferable to doing the reverse

While not always doable, people need to learn to separate the stuff they enjoy from the turds who made it. I would barely listen to any music if I purged all the garbage people from my favourites list.

I've watched friends who were feminists (real feminists, not terfs) defend abuse and predatory behavior they used to be against because attractive male celebrities did it and they had to find a way to keep thinking their idols are good guys. So disappointing.
