You're making two VERY different arguments. Are you saying that 'accountants shouldn't lecture clients about their politics' or that 'JKR's politics don't deserve a lecture'? Is this about free speech, or is this about the content of her views?

I'd be kind of interested in seeing that made somewhat explicit by JKR's defenders: "We agree that she is promoting an abhorrent ideology, but she should not get abusive threats because absolutely nobody should."

As like a proof of concept, as the ACLU often does for legal issues. The fact that Rowling is especially reprehensible would be the reason to make the point; what are the most loathsome people still entitled to online?
