Replying to @CassidyGavin @graceelavery
His lectures on physics are highly recommended. Simple to understand. Straightforward. https://www.feynmanlectures.caltech.edu/I_toc.html

Feynman's reputation for this is notable because it is rare There are many people just as smart as Feynman when it comes to science who are not as good at writing in a casual breezy tone as he was, and therefore are not as famous

This I agree with. It takes special skill to write like that, which is why they are famous. But the number of times I've been told to "go read Butler you bigot!" is way too high, indicating that the best minds of this field are bad at communicating with the masses. Bit ironic

So don't read her, that's fine Just don't fucking pop off about her being an idiot because you don't get it

Lol.. don't tell people to read Butler ... Recommend someone good from your field. Like I recommended Hawkins and Feynman, and really the list of good communicators who are also experts in my field is endless.

Well for one thing I'm kind of suspicious you're all that familiar with Hawking when you keep spelling his name "Hawkins"

Autocorrect.. again, even if I don't, you were still able to understand who I was talking about. Even I am a better communicator than the best minds in gender studies... That's ridiculous

Uh the fact that I can tell you meant "Hawking" when you said "Hawkins" doesn't make you a great communicator dude You can't even figure out how to thread tweets on Twitter

why is this “data scientist” trying to make an argument about readability in physics and biology? And anyways, a lot gets lost if you don’t use the dense terms of art in those fields
