It's not an opinion that artificial wombs would relieve a lot of needless pain and suffering, mainly of women and hence your opposition is objectively not rooted in concern for actual harm.

What about the baby? Have you thought of that? Obviously not. Don't tell me what I think and feel. It is presumptuous and rude. Par for the course for most that have talked over me on this thread though

What ABOUT the baby? What have I not thought of? That embryos and zygotes and fetuses get off on harming their bearers? What exactly is your argument?

This is exactly what
@Eristae was talking about, the idea that separation from their "real mother" causes irreparable harm to adopted children Which is a much more relevant and emotionally fraught conversation than this horseshit that we'll all wake up in Huxley's dystopia1 reply 2 retweets 21 likes -

No - he compared growing kids in vats to adoption. Not really the same.

Why is it not the same, specifically, and what evidence do you have for this distinction that isn't made up by a science fiction writer

Why is adoption (where the baby spends 9 months IN UTERO) different from a baby grown in vats? Are you fucking serious now?

I'm pretty sure babies also are traumatized and endangered by the ordeal of childbirth and artificial wombs can be made a lot more comfortable and safe for them as they develop also.

I mean at least we could put all those crackpot theories about "birth trauma" to the test and end this quixotic search for the best possible environment to give birth in, having to undergo this medical procedure in a soothing natural lagoon with a gentle breeze and music playing

it also wouldn't be in pain or piss all over furniture suddenly if the baby stretches or kicks.
