I would like to thank you for doing us the great service of finally giving us clear guidelines of who, specifically, is or is not allowed to forgo breastfeeding in favor of formula

Hopefully the government will put you in charge of forming some sort of tribunal so that we can evaluate individual cases of women bottle-feeding their babies to determine whether or not they had a "good reason" and bring the ones who don't to justice Blessed be the fruit

Wait, are we gonna just skate past the fact that she thinks it's fine to have a kid as spare parts for an existing kid?

That's not how bone cancer works. I can tell you're not on a bone marrow registry.

I am on a bone marrow registry I know how it works I am neutral on the topic of whether it's ethical to conceive a child for this reason - I think it's no more or less ethical than having a kid for any other reason

The idea that it actively is ethical and just wanting biological kids for any other reason is not, though Hoo boy Oh man

You're a very strange person. The way you deliberately misconstrue the discussion to keep it going. It's not a normal topic for men to obsess over while being apathetic to women and children. Beginning to wonder what's up with that.

Right, and the mob of people trying to shame Ben Cohen over his personal life and his family issues/fertility journey are just expressing a totally natural, normal concern over "women and children" Nothing troubling about straight people policing gay men that way at all

This has nothing to do with him being gay, but nice attempt at becoming a white knight.

It has everything to do with him being gay. You are arguing that people who can't breastfeed shouldn't have kids. This is pretty much the case for all cis gay relationships. Which means your argument is directly linked to the fact that he is in a relationship with another cis man

It's worse than that, she's saying she IS willing to make an exception for cishet couples where the woman is unable to breastfeed due to a "legitimate medical problem" but since cis men's bodies weren't biologically intended to breastfeed that's not the same

We're allowed to use technology to correct God's oversights but not to defy his intentions, or something to that effect

I mean it is possible for men to lactate with technology but I mean really why? https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/strange-but-true-males-can-lactate/ … Breast is best authoritarianism https://www.healthline.com/health/breast-is-best-mantra-harmful …
