There’s also the issue of it’s really hard to get enough milk for some women, especially at first. With my kid- the choice was malnutrition or formula. So, uh, no choice at all

unfortunately there is a choice -- health authorities, including my local one, actively lie to parents about whether their babies are malnourished in order to discourage them from ever supplementing with formula The result has been many, many preventable injuries to babies
